First Years True Fit Premier for $199.99

First Years True Fit Premier - Cranberry

Our DD is getting close to outgrowing her infant bucket style car seat so I’ve spent the last month researching convertible car seats. Yesterday I finally took the plunge and bought a pair of them and found a couple of pretty good deals along the way. These probably aren’t deals worthy of shouting from the rooftops, but if you’re in the market for a new seat, they might be worth checking out.

Goores.com has the True Fit Premier (the version with the anti-rebound bar and bubble level indicator) on sale for $199.99 HERE. This seat is usually around $269.99, so that’s a savings of about 26%. It’s available in both Aurora (blue) and Cranberry (brown and red). Free shipping on most orders over $89.

This seat will be available in four other colors later this year, according to THIS THREAD on www.car-seat.org, but DD is growing so fast we couldn’t wait that long.

During my search I also found a couple of pretty good deals on the Britax Boulevard at AlbeeBaby, HERE. They have Meghan (pink) listed for $209.99, Sutton (black with blue, gray and kahki stripes – my personal favorite!) for $219.99, and Evening Sand (black and tan) for $229.99. Free ground shipping on orders over $100. Coupon codes 15OFF and 10OFF will save you 15% and 10% respectively, but I don’t think they can be used on the already discounted Boulevards.

Just because we decided on the True Fit, doesn’t mean that’s the best car seat for you and your baby. The perfect seat for you is the one that fits your car, fits your child, fits your budget and that you’ll use correctly every time.

Babies “R” Us Accepts Competitors’ Coupons

Written on November 4th, 2009 by Mommy Spends Less7 shouts

I recently got a flier in the mail from Babies “R” Us and I was really excited to read the following: “Our Prices Can’t Be Beat! We’ll match ANY advertised price. We’ll accept ALL competitors’ coupons.”

Of course there’s the requisite asterisk which says “Restrictions and exclusions apply. See store for details.”

I briefly checked their website and so far I haven’t been able to find any details (but I did learn that you aren’t supposed to link to Babies “R” Us or Toys “R” Us websites without written permission).

If their policy also applies to Toys R Us, this could make for some really great opportunites to use those printable Target coupons!!

*Update 11/18/09: You can go HERE to download a copy of the flier.*

(While I would have loved to help you all out with an unlimited number of 20% off coupons, I didn’t think Babies “R” Us would appreciate it if I turned their limited release coupon into a publically posted .pdf file so that’s why ‘void’ is printed across it.)

My Pal Scout and Violet

Written on November 4th, 2009 by Mommy Spends Lessno shouts

LeapFrog recently introduced two new toys, My Pal Scout and My Pal Violet. These are really cute stuffed puppies, designed for kids 6-36 months. Scout is green and white with a little boy’s voice and Violet is purple and white with a little girl’s voice. Both Pals play music and sing songs when children squeeze their paws. But what makes these cuddly friends special is that you can hook them up to the computer with the included USB cable and download customized information from the LeapFrog website. You can select your own playlist from about 30 songs and you can set it up so the puppy will cheer your child’s name and talk about his/her favorite colors, foods, etc. Santa has been planning to bring my daughter Violet for Christmas so I’ve been keeping my eye out for a good deal to help him out.

Normally the Pals are about $19.99 but through 11/21 Target has them on sale for $14.99. PLUS they just released 15 pages worth of Target store coupons for various toys, including a $5 one for Violet or Scout, making the toy just $9.99 – half price!!
You can go HERE to print the coupons, which are good through 11/25: . The Violet/Scout coupon is on page 9 but I went ahead and printed them all because there will probably be some more great deals to be had using these coupons.

There have also been coupons for $3 off when you buy select LeapFrog toys (including Violet and Scout) AND Orajel toddler toothpaste in magazines including:

  • September, Parenting, Page 41
  • October, Family Fun, Page 19

At the Target store I went to the toothpaste was priced as just $2.89! I had no problem using both coupons together so my pre-tax total for both Violet and the toothpaste was just $9.88!

Once you get the toy, you can sign up for LeapFrog’s learning path and when you do that, they’ll send you a free Tag Jr. book: ABC Animal Orchestra. It’s designed to work with the Tag Jr. reading system but if you don’t have the system it’s still works just fine as a regular board book.

There’s a $10 printable coupon available HERE for “TinkerBell and the Lost Treasure” Blu-ray/DVD combo pack.
(Thanks MyFoxOrlando.com)

Since the movie was just released yesterday, there are a TON of deals and rebates that you can pair this with!

The set is on sale for $24.99 at Target, according to this week’s ad. It’s listed at $23.32 on Walmart.com, but I’m not sure if the in-store price is the same.

At Best Buy, the Blu-ray is $25.99 but you also get the Essential Guide free. You can save an extra $8 if you buy Snow White on Blu-ray at the same time.

It’s $29.99 at Kmart but they have a promotion going through the end of this month:  Save $10 when you by the movie and a 12″ Tinker Bell doll.  The doll is $14.99 so that makes it $24.98 for both after the coupon!
(Thanks Hip2Save)

Toys R Us has the movie on sale for $21.99.  Plus when you spend $40 on Disney Fairies products they will give you a free Disney Fairies Lantern.
(Thanks Deal Finding Chik)

There’s a $5 rebate available if you also buy a TinkerBell Leapfrog book or game which you can read about HERE
And there are LeapFrog coupons HERE to sweeten the deal.

Or you could buy two Kernel Seasonings products to qualify for a $5 rebate, which is described HERE.
